INTRODUCING OUR NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR, IPCO UGANDA LIMITED

IPCO Uganda Ltd is proud to announce their new Managing Director Ms. Ruth Muriel Nsubuga, who will be responsible for bringing about the IPCO Uganda Ltd business plan. IPCO Uganda is the subsidiarity of IPCO AS in Uganda.

Ruth brings with her an impressive track record as a project leader and communicator in several donor funded projects supporting sustainable community development.  Part of this work has included rolling out of a ground breaking model that uses mobile technology with a unique agent- led approach to consumer education to bring products and services such as insurance to low income consumers in emerging markets.

Ruth has worked on projects funded by the World Bank, The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and the Department for International Development (DFID) and in several industries including insurance tech, Oil & Gas and financial services.

Her enthusiasm for the values of IPCO Uganda Ltd and understanding of working with local communities and governments, both areas critical to the success and future of IPCO Uganda Ltd,  make her a great fit and the team looks forward to working with her towards building and growing our business and customer base in Uganda.

ABOUT IPCO UGANDA LTD

IPCO UGANDA LTD is a service aggregation company that offers disruptive telecommunications business models and services to the rural underserved communities of Uganda.

IPCO UGANDA LTD aims to provide and deliver high speed broadband Internet connectivity to power local communities through Rural Area BroadBand Internet Networks (RABBIN). Rural Area Broadband Internet Networks are private membership operated community networks, established and operated in line with public safety requirements to help farmers, schools, hospitals and business owners with a technology solution to facilitate and foster e-learning,e-farming,e-medicine,e-commerce and e-Governance  in communities.

Additionally, IPCO UGANDA LTD will provide Cloudfone WiFi Calling services to enterprises and individuals as a unified communication service, professional Telecom business and technical services.

NORAD

IPCO AS been granted funds from The Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation – NORAD under the program Enterprise Development for Jobs.

The project is called Rural Area Broad Band Internet (RABBIN) which is aiming at building community networks in Uganda. These network sites will be located in rural areas and will provide Internet connection to schools, health clinics and local government offices.

IPCO AS will run the project together with partners in Uganda. In 2018 trial production will be implemented with live services to customers.

The Cloudfone WiFi Calling will be introduced to the enterprises and individuals as a unified communication service.
